Fish Cakes

2 cups cold boiled fish, flaked
2 cups mashed potatoes
1 tbsp. butter
1 egg, beaten
salt and pepper

Directions
Any fresh fish that is suitable for boiling may be used, but codfish is preferred. Mix all ingredients together. Shape into round flat cakes and dredge in flour. Fry in butter on both sides until golden brown
